The importance of vitain C
C-Vitamin contains 100% ascorbic acid and is a complementary feed for horses. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that is needed to suppress and clean out the body's free radicals. Vitamin C can facilitate the body's absorption of iron and is also necessary for the body's own production of collagen.
Lack of vitain C
Lack of vitamin C can have a negative impact on the immune system, reduce joint cartilage and the development of osteoarthritis and have a positive impact on wound healing. The older horse may have a reduced production of vitamin C, even as horses in hard work consume more vitamin C than they have time to produce and can therefore benefit from extra supplementation.

Vitamin C is recommended for older or hard-training horses.
